Two Hawaiian events – Sony Open AND Guardian – are well placed on the calendar to cause complete hardware mayhem every year.
Players don’t have the same access to fully-equipped Tour trucks as they do on the continent, but new equipment for 2025 is starting to arrive, so they want to use the latest and greatest equipment.
For fans, this is their first look at upcoming clubs that could arrive in 2025. Who is testing what? Who switches to what? Who doesn’t change anything?
It’s a perfect storm of news that simply adds to the intrigue around hardware like no other week of the year.
And this year was no different.
Since we’re currently in a tropical whirlwind of new hardware, here are 10 things I learned about the new hardware coming out in 2025.
Aloha, new equipment!
1) Collin Morikawa upgraded to the new Qi35 LS driver which is COVERED in carbon fiber

2) Xander upgraded to the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond standard (he is right-handed) and Akshay upgraded to the Elyte standard (he is left-handed)
3) Max Homa signed with Cobra and joined several new Cobra clubs
4) Titleist has the new GT 280 and fairways and H1 hybrids
