2024 CFP Offensive MVP odds: Will Howard favored; Riley Leonard second

The remaining teams will take the field on Thursday and Friday for the 12-team squad’s season opener Student football Overtime.

And while we don’t yet know which two teams will stand last, bettors can place their bets on which player will be the Offensive MVP in the championship game. Let’s take a look at the DraftKings Sportsbook odds as of January 9.

At the very top of this list is Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard. Howard is passing 41 of 55 for 630 passes in Playoff matches so far.

So far in the CFP, he has five passing touchdowns and just one interception.

Second on the list is Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard. In two CFP games, he recorded 301 passing yards, two TDs and a pick, as well as rushing for 110 yards and a score.

Rounding out the top three is Ohio State star winger Jeremiah Smith.

After beating the Buckeyes Oregon at the Rose Bowl, Ducks head coach Dan Lanning said, “He’s ready to play in the NFL.”

Longhorns backup quarterback Arch Manning is further down the chart at +4000.

While Manning supports starter Quinn Ewers, “Herd” host Colin Cowherd he said he “would start on virtually any other college team in America.”

Through two CFP games, Manning has three carries for zero yards but has yet to pass.

Meanwhile, Ewers threw for 524 yards, four scores and two picks. He also has one quick score. He is fourth in the table.
