A rising star Ludvig Aberg has played only one event so far in the 2025 PGA Tour season, not counting his brilliant debut on TGLbut he miscalculated. Aberg finished T5 in the Sentry season opener in Hawaii, proving that his game is not rusty.
As a result, the world No. 6 is the pre-tournament betting favorite for this week’s Farmers Insurance Open, played on the North and South courses at Torrey Pines, opening the week with +1100 odds. But he’s not alone at the top.
Hideki Matsuyama, who won the Sentry and opened his own season with a $3.6 million payday, also heads to Torrey at +1100.
Rounding out the top five in terms of chances of winning are Sungjae Im (+1800) as well Controversy surrounding Tony and 2025 US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradleywho both come in at +2200.
