The year 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil it will be played from June 24 to July 25.
FIFA, soccer’s international governing body, announced the dates on Tuesday.
Thirty-two teams will take part in the Women’s World Championship, which is being held in South America for the first time.
Brazil has one of CONMEBOLthree places as host. UEFA has the highest number of seats (11), followed by AFC with six, CAF and CONCACAF four pieces each and OFC one each. The remaining places will be determined through play-offs.
Spain is the defending champion after winning the 2023 Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by Australia AND New Zealand.
FIFA is expected to announce Brazilian host cities and stadiums for the tournament next year. Twelve bids were submitted, including multiple stadiums that hosted 2014 Men’s World Cup matches.
