Competition: Scottish Premiership
market: Dundee FC win
Odds: 19/20 @ Pribate
Looking to get back to winning ways on Boxing Day afternoon, Dundee FC welcome Ross County to Dens Park.
Starting with the hosts, Dundee eventually losing 1-0 to Scottish giants Rangers last weekend, the Dark Blues should take plenty of positives from a largely sharp performance at Ibrox. Last season they crashed out to secure a top half finish, with Tony Docherty’s men desperate for a repeat result in 2025. Starting with a dominant display in December when they cruised to a 4-1 win over Motherwell, Dundee will certainly be excited to be back on home soil on Boxing Day. Despite struggling to find much consistency since returning from the November international break, Thursday’s hosts continued to shine with their success at Dens Park. Docherty’s side have won each of their last three Premiership showdowns in front of their own supporters, with another stunning 4-1 win over Hibernian marking their return from a fortnight in November. Indeed, the Dark Blues won that trio of top-flight battles at Dens Park by an aggregate score of 11-4.
For the visitors, as Ross County marked their return from the November international break with a much-needed 2-1 win over Motherwell, the stages came back down to earth. While Don Cowie’s side may have had their way through the last season as they managed to retain their Premiership status last season, the Dingwall-based outfit find themselves at the center of another battle. Suffering late heartbreak at home to St Mirren last weekend when they eventually lost 2-1, the former Watford midfielder has seen his squad lose each of their previous four Premierships. Signing off November with a routine 5-0 drubbing at the hands of defending champions Celtic, Ross County have lost four straight outings by an aggregate score of 13-2. With just one win on the board since the end of October, Kauai’s downbeat squad face another tough test when they travel to Dens Park on Boxing Day.
