Tottenham captain Son Heung-min admitted his side’s form is not good enough after being stunned 2-1 by Leicester City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts took the lead through Richarlison but found themselves behind after 50 minutes with Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannes scoring shortly after the break.
Tottenham have failed to win their last seven top-flight games (D1L6), their longest winning run in the top flight since nine matches worth between May and October 2008.
The 1912 defeat to Notts County was the first time that Spurs had lost against a team who had lost their previous seven league games by defeat.
Ange Posecoglou’s side are 15th in the standings in a season that has been hampered by several injuries to first-team players throughout their squad.
Son, however, refused to accept that their absences were an excuse for their failure this term: “It’s painful. It’s already happened a few times this season.
“It seems that scoring goals is so difficult, but conceding goals is very easy. I haven’t seen them back yet, but it’s a lack of density, of course, and a bit of opulence.
“We knew they would come. We’re going to sit down and talk about what went wrong.
“I’ve played more games than I expected, but that’s our job. Mentally, we just need to refresh and get ready and go again. I know it can be tough.
“You can feel better when you win but it’s tougher after today. Very tight at the moment. “

Tottenham are eight points clear of relegation, but Son do not want to keep them in the battle to stay up.
“It’s definitely not good enough. We’ve had a lot of losses, but there’s still a lot of games left and we’ll have a lot of players coming back,” Putra added.
“We’re not talking about anything, we just play every game and try and get the three points.”
