Gian Pierro Gasperini’s Atlanta is about to be strong… but how far they really can go?

Atlanta chief coach Gian Pierro Gasperini on Wednesday was delighted with his team’s performance in Barcelona in Champions League, despite missing an automatic place in the Round 1 16.
After the draw, the Atlanta 36-team descends in the ninth place in the league is missing at just one point in the top eight, which means they will face the club’s broug or sports in the play-off round.
However, the gasperini made it clear that he had no disappointment on his behalf.
“We need to be happy to compete with the best European teams,” he told reporters, “We will play in the Champions League,” he told reporters.

Although a win was claiming to claim their top spot, Atlanta came from the back twice to achieve a draw in Barcelona.
With the expectation of coming to a complex play-off tie, Gasperini was asked whether he was feeling satisfied or regretted to disappear in the round of 16’s.
“It’s first everywhere,” he said. “We’re in the Champions League. We will see the next game and what happens against sporting or broug, it is not what we are accustomed to.
“We played in the Champions League for four years, this kind of match really extends the team.”
The next year, before reaching the 1 off round and the elimination of the group stage in 2021-22, the Atlanta advanced to the quarter-finals on their competition in 20-21. Last season, in the meantime, they won the Europa League, defeating the previously unbeaten Bayer Livechusen in the final.
