Sweeps aside Ben Robb to set up Heta clash at PDC World Darts Championship

Connor Scutt he was one of the leading figures this season, dominating the Challenge Tour and bringing this excellent form to the big stage Ben Robb on a Monday evening in 2025 PDC World Darts Championships.

Robb, despite showing promise in the World Series before, has never really hit the mark when it comes to Ally Pally, and that continues. Although it was going to be a tough fight against a confident player who won 3-0 with an average of 102, four 180s and 56% in doubles.

A statement also made with the next Damon Heta, who could be in serious danger if Scutt repeats it, with a spot in the third round firmly in mind. Known as “The Sniper,” he brought expert precision to the Ally Pally stage.

Robb went out to sea early as Scutt took the lead. He averaged 96 points in doubles and shot 60% in doubles. “Big Rig” couldn’t get going and Scutt punished him with three straight legs and went on a 1-0 attack.

From there, he finished the second set 3-1, scoring 76 points, and his average only increased. He moved up to 100.7, earning second place and one shy of winning.

Things got even better in the final set as Scutt scored 102 points and then hit 16 twice, starting with a 13-darter for a 1-0 lead. He hit 170 to leave a double eight and hit a double eight to break before sealing victory with a 16-darter.

Definitely a player to watch over the next few weeks at Alexandra Palace and the best performance yet from any player to grace this hallowed stage. Although Heta had more fun on the big stage, he himself will know that a big test awaits him.
