A statement read: “Fleetwood Town can confirm Charlie Adam Left the club immediately.

“Everyone at Fleetwood Town would like to thank Charlie for his hard work and commitment.

“The club will issue further updates on first team personnel in due course.”

Adam’s last game in charge saw Barrow beat Fleetwood 2–0 in the AFC.

The result means the club sit just eight points above the relegation zone.

Adam will be best remembered for his playing career as a part of the supporting cast Blackpool Reached the Premier League in 2010.
