Vitor Pereira put aside the strategy board ahead of Wolves’ win over Manchester United.
Wolves beat United 2-0 on Boxing Day to back up their impressive 3-0 win at Leicester City in Pereira’s first game.
Mathews Cunha scored directly from a corner before Hwang Hee-chan sealed the points late on at Molineux.
Despite the obvious improvement, Pereira explained that he is not putting too much emphasis on his team’s tactics.
He told Amazon Prime: “I tell them now that it’s not just about strategy, it’s about spirit, energy, commitment, self-belief.
“Achieving goals is impossible if we don’t have confidence in our lives.
“I think we have good quality players, we were missing a mental click to play and I think commitment [against United] And the fans with us, it’s something special.”

Cunha was crucial, scoring Wolves’ opener before heading in Hwang’s goal deep into stoppage time.
The Brazilian has scored in each of his last three Premier League appearances for Wolves. Only Henry Kamara has made a longer run for the club in the competition’s history (five games) in April 2004.
“We tried to swing this ball, but that’s his quality,” Pereira said of Cunha’s opener, which saw former Atletico Madrid attacker Andre Onana curl an inswinging corner into the far corner of the net.
“I think it’s not about work, it’s personal quality. He is a player in my opinion who can reach high standards in this league.”
Pereira is the first Wolves boss to win his first two top-flight league games since Sammy Chung in August 1977, when he became only the second Portuguese manager after Jose Mourinho to win his first two games in charge in the Premier League.
Next up for Wolves is a trip to Tottenham on Sunday.
