I’d certainly be up for going into the jungle

Russ Bray retired from full-time refereeing duties at the end of the 2024 World Darts Championships. The iconic “Voice of Darts” can still sometimes be heard at matches, but he seeks opportunities outside the sport.

For example, Bray admitted he would love to take part in the hit ITV show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! “I would definitely do it. I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! I think I could handle it all. I don’t think I’d have any problems there,” Bray says in quotes collected by the Daily Star. “I have no problem eating weird and wonderful things. I would definitely like to go to the jungle. I would love to try this. I talked to Eric Bristow when he came out of the jungle a few years ago and he loved it.

Bray also has his own app, Russ Bray Darts Scorer Pro, where his voice reads the scores during home games, including the pronunciation of your name and what you need. However, since the appearance of Luke Littler, the app has gained a new wave of popularity.

“I get paid every month from the app, and after last year’s World Championships, the most important pay day is in February,” he explains. “Looking at what I usually get every month, I’d say the month after Luke Littler got to the final I got 12, maybe 13 times more than I usually get. And then the next month it was about nine times, and the month after that it was about eight times, so in those three months it was just obscene.
