Nick Kyrgios has described the doping allegations against Jannik Sinner and Iga Świątek as “disgusting” for tennis.
Men’s world No. 1 Sinner tested positive twice for an anabolic steroid in March but avoided a ban because the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) found he was not at fault.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) appealed the decision, and Sinner still faces a potential suspension.
Swiatek, currently No. 2 in the women’s world, accepted a one-month suspension in November after testing positive for the banned substance trimetazidine.
The Pole took first place in the world when, on August 12, she provided a sample containing trimetazidine, a drug for angina pectoris, in an out-of-competition test.

Iga Świątek admitted that she was afraid of losing fans after her positive doping result was revealed earlier this year.
He says he doesn’t expect WADA to appeal.
“Two world No. 1s, both convicted of doping, are disgusting for our sport. It’s a terrible sight,” Kyrgios said.
“The integrity of tennis these days and everyone knows it but no one wants to talk about it, it’s terrible.”
Like Sinner, Świątek’s short temporary ban was made public only after the outcome of the case was determined, and the 23-year-old justified her absence from three tournaments with personal matters and a change of coach.

This has led to further accusations of a two-tier system in which star names are given preferential treatment, something the ITIA and tennis governing bodies vehemently deny.
Sky Sports contacted the International Tennis Integrity Agency, which chose not to comment on the matter.
