‘He can go to the top,’ Rice told Arsenal website. ‘This child is special, very special.
‘For an 18-year-old to be that good, that comfortable, that strong – it was like he was made in a lab.
‘I told him the other day, it’s ridiculous how good he is, but he’s got a long way to go.
‘He’s so well-loved, he’s got a great family around him, I know his mum looks after him very well and so do all the boys at the training ground.
‘We have a really good crop of youngsters and he can be anything he wants to be, he just has to stay focused and always want more and he can do it.’
Rhys also singled out Leandro Trossard for praise after the Belgian assisted Kai Havertz’s winner at the Emirates.
‘He does it over and over again,’ adds Rice. ‘He can go to his left, go to the right, create, he can score.
‘I don’t think he was feeling too well either (against Ipswich), so credit to him for the way he did in a 90-minute shift.
‘He’s one of my good friends here so he’s a special player.’
