Monaco have condemned the “unacceptable” racist abuse directed at Wilfried Singo after the defender hit Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the face in their French Ligue 1 match on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international, who joined Monaco from Italian club Torino in 2023, was racially abused on social media after the match.
Monaco said the club “strongly condemns unacceptable racist comments” and that “such behavior has no place in sport on or off the pitch”.
The Ligue 1 club added that they would give the defender their “full support”.
Singo and Donnarumma spoke after the match, and the Italian was able to return to Paris with his teammates.
PSG said Donnarumma will undergo a “medical examination” on Thursday and will “need to rest for a few days”.
