Despite being relegated to the PDC ranks, Ross Smith continued to enjoy success throughout the year.
Dover’s Smith won his 13th Players Championship Event and averaged over 100 in his Grand Prix match, becoming only the eighth player in history to hit the stop.
He also reached two European Tour finals, but lost them to Gary Anderson and Dave Chisnall respectively.
However, his greatest success came in the Players Championship, where he reached the semi-finals before losing to teenager Luke Littler.
Smith, nicknamed Smudger, will want to climb the rankings in 2025 and expand his collection with more trophies.
Unfortunately, the only trophy he won’t win is the World Cup. Smith lost to Filipino Paolo Nebrida 3-0 in the second round before Christmas.
