A 100 cash ended an 11-darter, opening the second set for Rydz, who continued his fast start. Van den Bergh also raised his level slightly by becoming more involved in the competition. As both players exchanged darts, the set continued until the fifth and deciding game, in which Rydz had the darts. Rydz, hitting a 13-darter, did not look at Van den Bergh and threw the ball away he was leading 2-0, averaging 116!

Another 11-darter triggered set 3, and Rydz simply refused to budge. However, Van den Bergh immediately rebounded in the next set and equalized the set. After two more break points, the third set was also decisive and this time it was the Belgian who had the advantage by throwing first. Unfortunately for Van den Bergh, the darts battle continued and Rydz won the 5th game and led 3-0.

Still averaging around 110, Rydz continued to shoot magic darts, winning 1-0 in the fourth set. Despite several missed darts in the next game, Rydz eventually hit a double 2 to move one game out of the last 16. A few moments later, a 12-darter completed the victory, and Rydz advanced to a last 16 draw with either Ricky Evans or Robert Owen.
