Multiple reports emerged this evening that Milan will sack coach Paolo Fonseca if he fails to beat Roma, with Sergio Conceicao lined up.
Rumors spread like wildfire at the San Siro as the two teams took to the pitch for tonight’s Serie A showdown.
Sky Sport Italiasport mediaset, La Gazzetta dello Sport And it’s the same story in all of Sportitalia – that Fonseca’s position is suddenly very vulnerable and he will be sacked if he fails to get three points against Claudio Ranieri’s Roma.
According to Sportitalia, this is because of a very tense meeting between coach Fonseca and Redbirds mentor Zlatan Ibrahimovic earlier today.
Excitement is sky high in Milan

It’s a sign of the tension around the club in general, where today there were more deafening chants from supporters for Redbirds owner Gerry Cardinale to sell.
The protests are largely targeted American owners, Ibrahimovic and some star players, Fonseca were credited with cracking down on the attitudes of Rafael Liao and Theo Hernandez.
If the decision is made to fire Fonseka now, it could spark further protests from the ultras, who are already furious.
The surprising part is that in the report Dr Sergio Conceicao has already been lined up to take over at Milan.
Also Portuguese, the 50-year-old played in Serie A for Lazio, Parma and Inter from 1998 to 2004.
His coaching career saw him work for SC Braga, Vitoria Guimaraes, FC Nantes and FC Porto for seven years until his departure in June 2024.
