The dream finale we’ve been waiting for is coming Łukasz Małyr will face Michael van Gerwen PDC World Darts Championships crown on Friday, January 3 after a crazy loss to “The Nuke” against the fan favorite Stephen Bunting.
Littler averaged 106 after four sets and did not give up against Bunting, who, like Chris Dobey before him, easily succumbed to the draw favorite, and considering both of their performances, Van Gerwen’s match against Littler may have been one of the best for the ages. He finished with an average of 105, 13.180, three tons plus checkouts and a 44.2% in the outer ring, a near total score.

Littler started in his wild style, although perhaps Bunting was even better at losing the opener. He was left scratching his head, averaging 113 compared to Littler’s 106 and losing when both hit three 180s and started playing at a high level.
However, Littler only increased his lead. He finished the second set 3-1 with a 13-darter shot and doubled his lead with four 180s and a 101.4 average, although down from his previous outing but still hovering above the ton mark.
The situation improved again when he switched on the stimulants. Littler fell short again in the next set but kept his nerve and won 3-0 with an average of 105.5, six 180s and a high checkout of 158 as Bunting was unable to find any answers and as with the draw with Dobey , it only got worse before it got better.
It was uninterrupted professional work by Littler, who scored 76 points to finish the fourth set 3-1 and move closer to the final with a 4-0 lead. Bunting needed answers, and fast. He finally got a 13-darter to seal the next set 3-1, allowing them to reduce the deficit.
More decisive, however, was misfortune in the legs as Littler pinned an 84 on the bull to put him within one of the finals with a 5-1 lead.
He cruised to the finish, hitting 170 at 2-1 and one away in the next set for an average of 105. He was left with 40 of 126, with Bunting needing 156 to claim the deciding point. From there, Littler produced a 13-dart to claim a heroic victory.
