The Q School scheduled for next week, when available tour cards will be distributed to participants of the multi-day event in both Kalkar and Milton Keynes.
After the World Darts Championships, it also became clear which players had lost their Tour Card. These are players who failed to secure a place in the top 64 of the world rankings within two years or simply dropped out of the top 64 after a long period of time.
The most famous player to lose his Tour Card is Adrian Lewis. This comes as no surprise as “Jackpot” stopped playing darts as of April 2023 and thus no longer won cash prizes from the leaderboards. Lewis hopes to find the joy of darts again in 2025 by taking part in the MODUS Super Series. It is possible that Lewis will attend Q-School again in 2026.
Other famous names to lose their Tour Card include former World Championship finalist Simon Whitlock, darts veteran Mervyn King and Dutch darters such as Vincent van der Voort and Jeffrey de Zwaan. Van der Voort has already made it clear that he will not be attending Q-School this year. However, he does not rule out that he will do it in the future.
Players who no longer have a PDC Tour Card can retrieve it at Q-School from January 6 to 12. Q-School consists of the first phase and the final phase. Players who had a Tournament Card in 2024 are accepted directly into the final phase of Q-School.
