The latest creation from Grain Flow Forged HD is the Pro S-3 iron. Mizuno Pro S-3 are designed for highly skilled players who want to feel the softness of forged Mizuno and the ability to precisely operate the ball on the golf course.
Utilizing Grain Flow Forged HD technology in Japan, the Pro S-3 is constructed from 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon steel. When you combine these two elements and then combine them with a Mizuno copper pad, you have an iron that offers exceptional softness as well as excellent responsiveness on all shots. Mizuno has spent a lot of time refining the iron to ensure proper vibration management for a smooth and solid feel.
Mizuno has strived to design the Pro S-3 irons with the most demanding players in mind. We saw Adam Schenk early in the game at the Sanderson Farms Championship last October on the PGA Tour. A thin topline and more compact head length give the Pro S-3 irons a tour-inspired look. Mizuno’s goal was to create an iron that looks elegant and classic without being bulky. Another big story is the new sole that Mizuno designed for the Pro S-3, the Triple Cut Sole. It starts with a beveled leading edge, which allows the leading edge of the iron to come under the ball for a more solid shot. There is also a relief on the rear edge of the sole, which makes it easier to release the stick from the turf and provides better control during the shot. Finally, a new sole geometry that has been created to ensure iron consistency in all playing conditions.
