Following further positive discussions with the club’s management, Graham Potter is close to returning to football to replace Julen Lopetegui at West Ham.
Sky Sports News understands both sides are optimistic that a deal can be done, with the 49-year-old potentially taking over for Friday’s upcoming FA Cup third round clash with Aston Villa.
The two sides still need to agree contract details and Everton remain interested in the matter in the background as the pressure on current manager Sean Dyche continues to mount.
Potter has remained out of management since leaving Chelsea in April 2023, after previously managing Brighton and Hove Albion, Swansea City and Swedish side Ostersund.
