Lisa Ashton topped the table on Tuesday after winning four of her five matches on day two and looks set to book her place in Saturday’s final as she moves into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.
Ashton, who entered Tuesday’s match with eight points from the first day of Group A, won four of five matches and climbed back to the top of the table with wins over Trina Gulliver, Vicky Pruim, Kirsi Viinikainen and Steph Clarke. Her only defeat was against Gemma Hayter, in which she accumulated 16 points out of 20 possible so far.
Elsewhere, Gemma Hayter also finished the day with 16 points but is 2nd behind Ashton due to a leg difference, while Trina Gulliver is 3rd with 10 points, Kirsi Viinikainen is 4th with 8 points, Vicky Pruim is 5th. with 6 points and Steph Clarke bottom with 4 points.
The Modus Super Series will continue on Wednesday with six riders returning on the final day of Group A hoping to increase their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s final, with Ashton leading so far. Players placed 2-6 will be split into two groups on Thursday and Friday, with afternoon and evening sessions taking place on both days, with new players joining the fray. The match will start on Wednesday at 9:30 GMT and will be broadcast live on The Modus YouTube channel or on the websites of various bookmakers around the world.
