Max Hopp was among the automatic qualifiers on day one as a number of nationalities qualified at the end, including Croatia, the Czech Republic and, of course, Germany. David Cameron and Kai Gotthardt made it through on day two with the last eight places available and the rest thanks to the Order of Merit.
Noa-Lynn van LeuvenLiam Maendl-Lawrance, Damian Mol, Brian Raman and Kai Gotthardt are among the top names hoping to reach the second stage.
There, tour cards are distributed and the number of participants is reduced from the initial 498 competitors who will compete in Kalkar at the beginning of the week.
