I am a huge fan of Jose Mourinho. He has been an incredible manager over the years, one of the best ever, but I don’t see how this job at Everton would live up to expectations.
Everton are in a massive, massive relegation battle. I think this is the end for them and Ipswich will not be relegated. Mourinho needs to be higher in the league than languishing in fifth place in the table.
I just don’t see how Mourinho does any differently than Sean Dyche. I don’t see any difference in it. He’s a huge name in football, but I would be careful with this one.
They don’t score many goals, but it’s not like Mourinho will come and the game will be smooth.
He had the best Chelsea team of all time and they were not fluid. We win 1-0, 2-0 every week and never concede a goal, but Dyche doesn’t concede too many goals either. It’s strange to me. I think the owners want to have a powerful football name.

If Dyche was sacked tomorrow morning and any job was among the top three or four players in the league, he would get it, because if anyone is going to get you out of trouble, it’s Dyche who does it.
If you’re going to bring in someone to replace Dyche, you need to hire someone with thick skin like Mourinho. You have to bring in someone to do it your way, but there aren’t many of them around.
I have a lot of respect for Dyche because he does it his way, he doesn’t listen to the crowd and doesn’t think he has to hype himself up. He says: “this is my team and it will be difficult to beat us.”
They played three of the biggest teams in the country: Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City and drew three games. But the next minute they go away and lose at home to Nottingham Forest and then Bournemouth. Instead of three undefeated teams, we have four and five winless teams.
