Raymond van Barneveld has sent words of encouragement to Simon Whitlock as he looks to get his PDC Tour Card back.
The Australian icon lost his Tour Card in 2024 after three straight years on the PDC Tour, but a change in form has seen The Wizard drop down the rankings.
The 2012 European Champion is currently ranked 69th in the world and is forced to attend PDC’s Q-School to try to regain his Tour Card.
The legend of giving Raymond van Barneveld he sent some words of motivation as the Australian looks like he’s about to get back into shape.

Raymond van Barneveld wishes Simon Whitlock
A 6-3 defeat to James Howard Hughes saw Whitlock’s Tour Card hopes dashed on January 9, but the Australian will return in the coming days to try and cope with the difficult qualifying system.
Whitlock has moving words from 2007 world darts champion van Barneveld, who shared the news with The Wizard on social media.
As Whitlock said, “I’m going to do my best to get my Tour Card back” On the X show, Barney wrote some words of encouragement to his former tour rival.
He said, “Good luck mate, you can do it,” before Whitlock’s first attempt to get his Tour Card back the first time he asked for it.
And Whitlock, John Henderson and Fallon Sherrock their day at Q-School also ended in disappointment.
Who else is taking part in the Q-School PDC competition?
Aside from Wizard, Henderson, and Sherrock, Q-School is probably as star-studded as ever in 2025.
Three-time women’s world champion Beau Greaves is competing for a Tour Card, with World Darts Championship semi-finalist Mervyn King in Milton Keynes for the first time since 2011.
Elsewhere, World Grand Prix semi-finalist Richie Burnett and former world number 18 Scott Mitchell are looking for a tour card.
