Despite the declaration for 2025 NFL Project two weeks ago, Georgia quarterback Carson Beck Is apparently entering college football transfer portal.
The senior signal-caller was Georgia’s starting quarterback the past two seasons (2023-24), leading the Bulldogs to a combined record of 24-3. During that span, Beck averaged 3,713 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns, 9 interceptions and a 156.2 passer rating on the season while completing 68.4% of his passes.
He suffered a season-ending elbow injury while playing for Georgia KNOT Championship game victory complete Texas in December. The Bulldogs then lost Our Lady in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals with Rifleman Stockton under the middle.
Miami (Florida)which was 10-3 and is losing its quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist Cam Ward for the draft, they are considered one of the favorites to land Beck in the portal, according to ESPN. On the other hand, Beck is receiving feedback that the report says he could have been selected anywhere in the first or third round of this year’s draft.
If Beck returns to school for a sixth season, he will likely headline the 2026 quarterback draft class with him Penn State‘S Drew Aller AND LSU‘S Garrett Nussmeieramong others. Beck, a former four-star recruit, spent a total of five seasons at Georgia, serving as the backup quarterback Stetson Bennett on the school’s title teams in 2021 and 2022 before becoming a starter in 2023.
