Irish Premiership: Ballymena United v Glentoran postponed due to frozen pitch

Saturday’s Irish Premiership match between Ballymena United and Glentoran at the Showgrounds has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The match was canceled on Saturday morning due to the frosty weather which has brought snow and ice to parts of Northern Ireland this week.

The two teams met on Tuesday evening in the BetMcLean Cup, with the match moved to the Oval Stadium after heavy snowfall in the Ballymena area made the Warden Street pitch unplayable.

A pitch inspection will take place on Saturday morning before Glenavon v Coleraine at Mourneview Park.

The three remaining Irish Premiership matches on Saturday are still scheduled to go ahead, with Crusaders taking on Dungannon Swifts, Linfield taking on Carrick Rangers and Loughgall taking on Portadown.
