West Ham ‘attack’ Chelsea ‘double deal’ amid Potter ‘first s…

West Ham United are reportedly “weighing up” moves for two Chelsea stars this month as they “prepare to attack the January transfer window”.

Former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter He has returned to football after being appointed by West Ham United as Julen Lopetegui’s replacement.

Hammers Lopetegui has seriously underperformed since replacing David Moyes in the summer as Espanyol have failed to get the most out of their talented squad.

Potter got off to a rocky start at West Ham United as they lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Friday night.

West Ham are expected to be busy in the transfer market this month and unsurprisingly they have been linked with several Chelsea stars.

Earlier this week, a report stated Potter has selected “stranded” Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell as his “first West Ham signing”. Blues boss Enzo Maresca later confirmed the England international would leave this month.

He said: “Chilwell is considering leaving and it would be best to avoid using him to avoid injury (so he won’t play against Morecambe in the FA Cup),” Maresca said.

“Cesare will not be in the team, same situation as Chilwell. It is better not to play him now to avoid the chance of him leaving.”

Reporting by Fraser Fletcher for our friends team talk claim West Ham United are “considering a double deal” with Chelsea as they are “keen” on Chilwell and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

West Ham United have also been mentioned as a potential destination for Marcus Rashford, but the report states that he is “believed to be leaving England this month and AC Milan are working towards a deal”.

Regarding Chilwell and Dewsbury Hall, the report claims:

“West Ham United are preparing to attack the January transfer window and are weighing up moves for a number of players after hiring Porter as their new manager. Struggling Chelsea player Dewsbury Hall is weighing up moves, TEAMtalk revealed. He is one of the players West Ham United is considering bringing in.

Sources claim the Hammers are one of three clubs interested in the 26-year-old and could soon enter talks.

“The move sparked interest from Dewsbury Hall as he was keen to stay in the Premier League and would not be forced to uproot his family if he stayed at a club in London.” The team’s Cobham Stadium is just an hour away.

West Ham are also looking to strengthen at left-back and have long been interested in Dewsbury-Hall’s Chelsea team-mate Chilwell.

“Nonetheless, West Ham know his wages are high and the player may need to make some moves to make a deal possible.”
