Mike Decker previously revealed that he wasn’t too happy to be left out of the 2025 season Dart Premier League. But now the Belgian darts player has decided to skip out Dutch darts champions in the World Series of Darts and “Real Deal” he once again mocked the PDC and the playing city of Den Bosch.
“I honestly think their decision is a bit outrageous. Now they say you get into the Premier League based on results. This is clearly not the case,” De Decker said after announcing that he had not been elected as prime minister. League, nomenclature Nathan Aspinall AND Gerwyn’s price specifically as two players he felt he deserved more.
The Belgian was initially scheduled to take part in the TOTO Dutch Darts Masters competition, which will be held on January 24-15 in Den Bosch. However, De Decker received the invitation quite late. “I just got an email last week saying they wanted me to be there,” “Real Deal” began on his “Darts Draait Door” podcast account. “But at this time I am in Dubai on vacation. So yes, I can’t. If only they should have let me know sooner. And for the initial money I’m getting, I’m not going to postpone my vacation. Then it costs me more than it gives, so I won’t be there.
However, the Belgian explains that it didn’t matter how early the PDC asked him to do so, he still had no plans to participate. “The World Series isn’t a tournament I was looking forward to anyway, and certainly not in the Netherlands. If you are then invited, you want to go to Bahrain or Australia. At least these are nice countries. Of all the places where these tournaments are held, you especially don’t want to be invited to Den Bosch.”
Benelux darts fans need not despair, however, as a total of eight Dutch and one Belgian will be present in North Brabant. Dimitri van den Bergh will be present on behalf of Belgium, while Michael van Gerwen, Danny Noppert, Raymond van Barneveld, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Gian van Veen, Jermaine Wattimena, Kevin Doets and Richard Veenstra will represent the Dutch. Den Bosch’s line-up is completed by the aforementioned Aspinall and Price, as well as Stephen Bunting, Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Rob Cross and Chris Dobey.
