Luke Littler has to conquer ‘Man Utd syndrome’ to break 16 World title record says Phil Taylor

Łukasz Małyr will have to overcome a phenomenon called Man Utd syndrome to break the record of the 16-time world champion Phil Taylor in the words of the man himself.

According to Sky Sports, Taylor said he will have to overcome a lot, whether that means playing a lot of darts, constant hotels, traveling and more to get closer to each other. Although he also claims that if you put the best against the best, he believes he would have beaten Littler in his prime.

“And it can take a toll on you. Especially when you get beaten, because everyone asks you questions: ‘Why did he lose? What has become of him? Why did his bubble burst?».

“Everyone loves seeing you out there, but they also love seeing you get knocked down. That’s how you take it, but I think he’s mentally strong enough to deal with it.

“I had my day, but I would love to play with Luke at his best. We would have had a great match. I think I could beat him, but I’m not sure!”
