Steve Beaton booked his place in Saturday’s League of Legends final on Wednesday after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign in top spot, having been confirmed for Groups B and C during the Modus Super Series.
Beaton, who went into Wednesday’s match with 14 points after the first two days of Group A, was top of the group overall after winning four games from five and recorded wins over Robert Thornton, Richie Howson, Neil Duff and Richie Burnett, his only defeat with Devon Petersen and ended with scoring 22 points out of a possible 30 in total.
Elsewhere, Neil Duff and Richie Burnett will compete in Group B after the pair finished 2ndII and 3rd a total of 18 points each. The duo will be joined by Darryl Fitton, Chris Mason and Conan Whitehead on Thursday and Friday nights.
Richie Howson, Devon Petersen and Robert Thornton will compete in Group C, finishing 4thvol5vol and 6vol respectively overall, with Howson finishing with 16 points, Petersen with 14 points and Thornton with 2 points. On Thursday and Friday afternoons, the trio will be joined by Martin Adams, Wes Newton and Trina Gulliver.
The Super Series modus will continue on Thursday, with Group C starting at 13:00 GMT and Group B starting at 22:00 GMT. The game will be broadcast live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via the websites of various bookmakers around the world.
