DAZN will host a doubleheader on February 15 following the conclusion of Golden Boy Promotions Officially announced Regis Prograis and Oscar Duarte will meet at the Honda Center in Anaheim. That same night, Jack Catterall and Arnold Barboza met in Manchester, England.
Prograis has a record of 29-3 (24 KOs) with back-to-back losses to Devin Haney and Catterall on the road in San Francisco and Manchester by Robert Garcia Duarte, who trains, has a record of 28-2-1 (22 KOs).
The 28-year-old Mexican has won his last two fights since a stoppage loss to Ryan Garcia in 2023. He returns with wins over Jojo Diaz and Botiljon Akhmedov.
The 35-year-old Prograis, who hails from New Orleans and is coached by Brian Peters, previously signed with Matchroom to box under the Golden Boy banner. The fight is set to be 12 rounds and the weight will be 140 pounds.
“I’m very happy and motivated to have this great opportunity to face a former two-time world champion boxer,” Duarte said. “Facing Regis Progres means a lot to me because he’s A proven, high-level fighter, if I can win this fight, it will represent a very important step in my career. I know the fight won’t be easy. A complex fighter; he fights hard, doesn’t get knocked out and wants to get back to winning after the last two losses. I’m going to have to have a great fight and be really smart to beat him.”
Progres said: “First of all, I’m excited to be back in the ring so soon doing what I love. I understand that inactivity is the death of a fighter. At this point in my career, I want and need to be more active. I think this fight is full of fireworks. My opponent is a strong, tough, hungry fighter and it should be a great night in California. I’m excited for this fight and looking forward to it next month.”
In Manchester, Cattrall and Barboza meet in the main event at the Co-op Live Arena for the interim WBO junior welterweight title, although it has been announced that Reece Bellotti and Michael Jr. Michael Gomez Jnr competes for the WBO junior welterweight interim title in a grudge match in the junior lightweight competition. British and Commonwealth Champions – Pat McCormack and Robbie Davies will compete in the welterweight division in an interesting clash between veterans Zelfa Barrett and Robbie Davies Match Jezza Dickens.
Barrett, a 31-year-old from Manchester, has a record of 31-2 (17 KOs) and had an outstanding win last April, stopping Jordan Gill with a body shot.
