Łukasz Małyr AND Luke Humphries could very well be on a collision course for the final clash tomorrow night, but it was largely two contrasting headlight displays on the track Bahrain Dart Masters.
It was absolutely sublime for Humphries as he gave a finishing masterclass. This was his first match since losing to Peter Wright, and he certainly wasn’t at his best.
But in Bahrain it was different. His best performance of the day so far whitewashed Bahrain qualifier Abdulla Saaed 6-0. He averaged 103.6, four 180s and a 6/6 in the outside ring, a near-perfect showing.

The highlight was a brutal finish in which he smashed 151 to make it 2-0 before posting 144 to extend his lead to three tons plus a cash salvo from the four matches he had won up to that point. His dominance was sealed as he took a 6-0 victory and continued to play.
So did Littler, but it wasn’t at all easy for the new world champion because he said he wouldn’t use the darts that won him the world title again. However, during testing, it looked like he had a slight hangover from the World Championships Lawrence Ilagan.
After a quick overtake, Ilagan broke the throw and fell to one of The Nuke’s players, losing 4-3. But Littler always kept him at arm’s length. He made 322 in six darts, including a cash of 142 to retire and walk away.
He produced when he had to drive to the line at the double-20 on 6-3. He wasn’t great at times, but his first game since his World Cup triumph, against a tough opponent, was never going to be a walk in the park.
