Johnson Wagner is nothing if he is not afraid. No matter where the producers put him, he shows off his photography skills – for better or for worse – for all to witness.
During Thursday’s first-round telecast of The American Express, The Golf Channel showed a clip of Wagner struggling with the infamous 18-foot-deep greenside bunker on the 16th hole of the PGA West Stadium Course.
As you can see in the video above, the three-time PGA Tour winner managed to get out of harm’s way twice, even though in one case it was a “cranial shaft” (which resulted in the better of both).
Johnson also showed the best way to get into the bunker, which looked a lot more fun than trying to get out.
