Andre Onana’s popularity at Manchester United is an ever-changing cycle.

four four two Discussions are understood to have begun over whether Onana will be dropped for the midweek trip to Rangers, with Bayindil expected to make his first European match for the club on Thursday.
Amorim was asked directly about Onana’s recent mistakes after Sunday’s game against Brighton and insisted it was a deep-seated issue that has been plaguing his side of late.
“It’s like a team, it has its ups and downs, sometimes it’s really good and sometimes it’s really bad,” he said. “We have to stay focused throughout the game to win. That’s the only way we can turn the game around.
“They’re used to different things,” he said. “Sometimes you have a team that almost wins the league but then the next season is really bad and has no confidence. Our players were really nervous in action.”
“When you step on the pitch you will remember the last few games here. If I feel that way, the players feel a lot too. The only way to solve this is to keep doing the same thing and win games. The only way to solve the problem.”
United’s realistic hope of success this season may be in the FA Cup or Europa League. The Red Devils are still a long way from the top four and once again they need to adapt to a new system.
Rangers are the next team to visit Old Trafford and Amorim may yet again make changes as it now does seem necessary to get into the knockout stages of the competition.
