South Carolina has so far navigated a difficult portion of the conference schedule and remains in second place in the Associated Press rankings women’s basketball Top 25 on Monday, earning a first-place vote to gain some space in the top positions University of California.
The Gamecocks are on a five-game road trip against ranked opponents. So far they have beaten it Texas until 5 p.m., Alabama until 18 and Oklahoma on Sunday at 41. They will face number 5 LSU on Thursday and No. 17 Tennessee it’s january 27.
The University of California, Los Angeles received 27 first-place ballots and a third-place ballot this week Our Lady I got the other two. USC No. 4 remains.

Nicki Collen’s team is having a tough week ahead of their matchup with No. 1 seed UCLA on Monday at the Coretta Scott King Classic. The Bears will then visit No. 9 TCU on Sunday.
No. 5 LSU at No. 2 South Carolina, Thursday. The undefeated Tigers will try to defeat the Gamecocks in a matchup of two of the SEC’s best teams.
No. 8 Maryland and No. 12 Ohio State, Thursday. The Buckeyes will look to rebound from their first loss of the season when they host the Terrapins. Maryland will also host No. 1 UCLA on Sunday.
