Iceland celebrate Robert Owen’s PDC World Darts Championship heroics with incredible personalised delivery van

In the year 2025 PDC World Darts ChampionshipsWelshman Robert Owen played a starring role, reaching the final 16 and maintaining his place in the PDC Pro Tour. During the tournament, Owen’s part-time job as a supermarket delivery driver in Iceland proved to be overdue, and now Stack Attack’s employers have celebrated Owen’s heroism in incredible style.

As seen in photos posted to social media by the MODUS Super Series account, Iceland gifted Owen with a personalized delivery van and an Icelandic uniform. “Iceland and The Food Warehouse are proud to celebrate the icy Robert Owen!” He reads a message posted on the side of the Welshman’s personal delivery van and on the back of his distinctive red Icelandic uniform.

As previously mentioned, at the recent PDC World Darts Championships, Owen struggled to keep his PDC Tour Card hopes alive, eventually making the final 16 before ultimately losing to Callan Rydz at Alexandra Palace.

During the Championships he also talked about his part-time job in Iceland. “I had to go to work because she (his wife) was on maternity leave,” Owen said. “We couldn’t afford for anyone to actually be unemployed. I went back to work and worked 50, sometimes 60 hour weeks while she was on leave to cover everything. This is my duty as a father and parent. But in between all this I went out and played darts. I think I’ve been doing pretty well over the last seven or eight months while all this has been going on. But I love my job in the community and I go everywhere. I don’t feel like I’m doing work. I take people shopping and I enjoy it, which is really sad.
