Ascoli hit the headlines after taking the unusual step of sacking coach Mimo Di Carlo via social media, while he was still on the pitch shaking the referee’s hand.
But there is a report of the whistled match Askoli President Massimo Pulcinelli introduced the concept of an on-whistle dismissal.
