Paul Merson says Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will question why he took the job at Old Trafford after a tricky start to his tenure Work.

“He is still young, really young. He did well in Portugal. He comes to one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“Not the best team in the world but one of the biggest clubs in the world by far. He finds it difficult. The pressure is on him.

“Obviously someone said to him, you need to go back to that and start blaming yourself here because players don’t have that, they don’t have that, they don’t sit there and say that, but it was difficult for him.
“I can’t see where this is turning around. With the Spurs guys, I can see players coming back and I think they’re going to cause problems for the team on their days, especially the way they play.”
Mason added: “I think managers are going to be sitting there thinking, ‘Should I be doing this job?’
“He doesn’t want to wait until the end of the season and I think he’ll be sitting there now. “I’m not sure I can do the job. “
