Chelsea could have a busy end to the January transfer window, Fabrizio Romano said in a statement. Exclusive video coverage of the daily briefing.
Discussing the latest on three potential deals to watch at Chelsea in the coming days, Romano singled out Bayern Munich striker Matthijs Telle as a player the Blues really like, as well as someone who could be available.
The talented young Frenchman hasn’t played much at Bayern recently and could leave the club on loan, although Chelsea don’t appear to be the only club interested.
Romano says Traal could be a good option for Enzo Maresca as he may need more options and Christopher Nkunku could also leave, with Bayern one of his options choose.
Looking ahead, Romano also named Bournemouth defender Dean Huizen as a potential Chelsea summer target, with the in-form centre-back currently unavailable but later setting a release clause.
Fabrizio Romano on Chelsea links with Mathys Tel and Dean Huijsen
“Chelsea continue to work hard for the present and the future in the market – there is no doubt it will be a busy week for the Blues. It is the last week of January and it is important to be reminded of what awaits them,” Roma Nuo said.
“For example, one player they liked was Bayern’s Matisse Telle – a player they wanted at the start of the transfer window when they discussed a potential swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku, The deal later turned into separate negotiations and it was still the same clubs – Bayern and Chelsea – who were talking about Nkunku and Tell.

“At the start of the transfer window, Ter had no intention of leaving Bayern – he wanted to stay and carry on, that’s still the player’s idea, but in the last three games he’s played zero minutes and that’s It could mean things could change in the final days of the transfer window.
“In this case, Chelsea could still be interested in the French striker if Ter opens the door. He is a player they really like and appreciate. However, there is also the opportunity for him to go on loan wherever he wants because He has interests in Italy, Germany and England.
“There are several clubs interested in a loan deal. Let’s see what Tel decide to do. In the meantime, Bayern are definitely still interested in Nkunku.
“Then there’s the future because Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huizen has done well and has a release clause in his contract which will come into effect in the next transfer window because it’s in the summer, not now ”
“Chelsea are one of the clubs who are really concerned about his situation – they like him, they are monitoring him, they are tracking him.
“However, Bayern have also called to inquire about the player’s situation and there is plenty of time to find out what happens there, so keep an eye on Huijsen in the summer transfer window.”
Chelsea fans will no doubt be hoping for a quick change after recent poor performances, with Maresca’s side unable to maintain their strong first-half momentum.
