The FIA has announced that Johnny Herbert R 2025 does not work as a F1 driver steward from the 2025 season.
F1’s Steering Committee says that the two parties were “mutually agreed” that Herbert – who won three Grand Prix during the 160 -Dawrds of 1989 – was completed as a steward in the F1 events – with his work “with its work” “Was” the “dishonest” media.
Read the statement, “This is with regret that we are announcing today that Johnny Herbert will no longer fill in the F1 Driver’s Steord’s position for FIA,” Read the statement.
“Johnny is widely honored and brings invaluable experiences and skills for his role.
“However, after the discussion, he was mutually agreed that his responsibilities as a FIA steward and the media scholar were unmatched. We thank him for his service and wish him the best of his future efforts.”
The former driver provided his opinion to the F1 through various outlets in the 2024 season, with his opinion on the controversial driving of Max Vertpen in Mexico City last October, in a column for a bet website.
Herbert was on a four-person stears panel, who fined Vertpen two ten-seconds to collide with penalty rivals Lando Norris in two ten-seconds in Mexico.
Both Vertpen and his father Jose later returned to Herbert’s critical opinion, using the next column to protect the right to express his opinion in the media and said his views were separated from his work as a former driver for his work.
The Steward Panel of F1, which has been rotated in the Grands Prix, has included a former driver for 25 years. Herbert last appeared in the Sao Paulo GP in November.
