Blades Brown made a splash at the first professional beginning of his young career last month, when he Eight than 64 During the second round of American Express. Not bad for a 17-year-old professional, right?
Brown made his debut in PGA Tour as an amateur at Myrtle Beach Classic 2024 and tied in 26th place. Since then, he decided to skip College and stand a professional, and received a sponsor to be released to American Express in his first start as a professional.
After the first round, 72 of his 64 rose to the leaders’ table. He still missed cutting, but in this process he found himself with a lot of headlines.
PGA Tour Veteran, Charley Hoffman, already knew what Brown was capable of. Hoffman was the captain of the Junior Brown Pressing Cup team, he played last season, and in the American Express Hoffman spoke about what he had the most impression on the teenager.

“I got up before playing in the team – we will say 5 am – and went to practice and he worked in the gym,” said Hoffman. “I don’t know if I had this ethics of work at the age of 17 – I promise you that I didn’t do it. I didn’t know what the gym was. “
Brown, talking to the media after 64 years, said he was getting a work ethics from his parents. His mother, Rhonda Brown (Blades), played in WNBA.
“I love the gym,” he said last week Golf podcast. “The gym is an amazing place to work. I love lifting weights, I love the aspect of recovery. “
When he is at home, Brown said that he usually works with a coach four to five times a week. When he personally attended school – he is now online – he woke up in front of the school and practiced at 6.
“After [school]I would go to hit the balls, and then I do what I have to, play a match with a few friends, come back and watch a movie or play basketball, and then pickleball, depending on the day, “he said. “Then go to sleep and do it again.”
“He puts on work, he is a solid golfer and of course the future is very clear to him,” said Hoffman. “However, this is not easy and I hope that it will be a great success, but it is a difficult training for PGA Tour and I hope it is successful at the beginning.”
