Women’s Champions League: Chelsea to face Man City, Arsenal get Real Madrid

Manchester City Chelsea will face Chelsea in the Champions League quarter -finals, and Arsenal has been drawn against Real Madrid.

Women’s Super League Champions Chelsea will travel to the city for the first leg before hosting Gareth Taylor’s team in the second leg.

Arsenal Group, the winner of the previous format of the competition in 2007, will host the second leg against Real Madrid after the selection.

This is the first time three English teams have advanced to the last -16 stage.

Arsenal progress should be made, they will be able to avoid meeting any fellow English team until the finals drawn against the winners of the Bayern Munich vs Lion in the semifinals.

Chelsea or City will face the winners of the tie between the two -time German winner Wolfsberg and the current holder Barcelona.

Draw means that Chelsea and City will face each other in a 12 -day interval in three competitions.

The two clubs met in the League Cup final on March 15 and again on March 23 at WSL.

The first leg of the Champions League quarter -finals will be held before the WSL match, either March 18 or 19, and the second leg will be held both March 26 or 27.

The semifinal first foot is scheduled on April 19/20, with the second leg of the next week on April 26/27.
