In Week 14, the Dallas Cowboys host the Cincinnati Bengals at MNF. Dallas struck first with a touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb. The rest of the night, however, the Cowboys offense wasn’t quite as explosive. They lost to the Tigers 27-20 and are now 5-8 on the season.

LB DeMarvion Overshown suffered a “serious” knee injury in the fourth quarter of a loss to the Bengals and will almost certainly miss the final four games. The Cowboys suffered another devastating loss on defense in 2024.

With a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, cowboys Selected DeMarvion Overshown from Texas. He tore his ACL in the 2023 preseason and missed his entire rookie season. Overshown has appeared in all 13 games for Dallas in 2024, starting 12 of them. The 24-year-old is having a great year in 2024 after missing his entire first season. He totaled 90 tackles, 56 solo tackles, eight tackles for loss, five quarterback hits, five sacks, and one interception for a touchdown.
Overshown’s tackle total ranks second on the team behind senior Erik Kendricks. Losing Overshown’s final four games in 2024 is not ideal for the Cowboys. However, the team has a tough schedule ahead and is likely to miss the playoffs. When Overshown left MNF in the fourth quarter, rookie LB Marist Liufau replaced him. Liufu had (1.5) sacks against the Bengals. Cowboys All-Pro Micah Parsons became emotional after the game when talking about Demavion Overshawn’s knee injury. He knew Overshown would miss all of 2023 due to injury and suffer another serious injury in 2024. This was not the way Overshown wanted to start his career. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones noted that Overshown will need surgery and is unsure if he will return in 2025 or 2026. In his first season in the NFL, he was very pleased with Overshown’s performance.
