Real Madrid have decided what they plan to do in the January transfer window in a bid to improve the situation in the second half of the season.
Although they currently sit second in La Liga Barcelona, Real Madrid there is a risk that they will not qualify for the Champions League knockout phase at all, and Los Blancos are in 24th place before the start of the sixth round.
An additional two matches in February are therefore likely, which means that Real Madrid will need as many players as possible fit and energized. As a result, they made a key transfer decision before the January transfer window.
Real Madrid don’t want to let Endrick leave
After playing just 149 minutes in total for Real Madrid this season, there has been speculation about Endrick’s future at the Bernabeu. The young Brazilian arrived from Palmeiras only in the summer, but he cost £50 million and his playing time was limited.
First league the sides were reportedly interested in taking him on loan for the remainder of the season as part of a mutual agreement that would see him receive more regular minutes while also being a key influence on whoever signs him.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, however, downplayed any claims that Endrick would leave in January, while also highlighting Arda Guler’s future.
“Endrick is staying here, and so is Guler.” – said Ancelotti in his pre-Atalanta press conference. “Maybe they needed more minutes, but I have no prejudice against anyone. I just try to put the best team in every game, whether they’re 18 or 40. Sometimes this can happen with Endrick, with or without Guler.
“It’s true, you have to be patient with young people. They bring enthusiasm, but because they are young, they also need to learn certain things. I have no prejudice against young people: in my career I have played people who were 17 or 18 years old if I thought they were perfect for playing games.”
Despite his limited involvement, Endrick managed to score two goals and assist on another goal this season. Even though he is only 18, he has plenty of time to develop and learn from Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo.
IN FourFourTwoHe believes it makes perfect sense why Real Madrid would want to keep the young player, especially as he is likely to play more regularly as the season progresses.
