Tuchel is the third permanent manager of the England men’s team from outside the UK after Sven-Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello.
The 51-year-old has won trophies in each of his last four managerial positions at Borussia Dortmund, Paris St-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
However, his appointment has been met with mixed reactions as he looks to deliver the first silverware for the men’s senior team since 1966.
“Of course, [the reaction] They will always be mixed,” Tuchel said.
“So now I have to prove to myself and to people who might be a little concerned, prove to them how much this means to me and that this is my dream job and I will give my all to it. And that I am the man for this job.”
