Alabama’s Justice Haynes enters transfer portal

Alabama running back Judge Haynes ESPN has learned that he entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Haynes started six games for the Crimson Tide this season and finished as the third-leading rusher with 448 rushing yards, 5.7 yards per carry and seven touchdowns. He will have two more seasons of eligibility at his next school.

The 5-foot-7, 210-pound sophomore from Buford, Georgia, was the No. 2 running back in the 2023 class and No. 24 overall in the ESPN 300. He had 25 carries as a backup as a freshman and rushed for 168 yards and two tries.

Haynes scored on an 85-yard touchdown run in Alabama’s season-opening victory over Western Kentucky, but he had double-digit carries in only one of his 12 games under new coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe led the Crimson Tide with 719 rushing yards and Jam Miller He emerged as the leading defender with 760 yards and eight touchdowns.

After narrowly missing out on competing in the College Football Playoff as the No. 11 team in the final CFP rankings, Alabama will face Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl on December 31. Since the winter transfer, the Tide team has lost 11 scholarship players to the portal, the window opened on Monday.
