Jamshedpur FC showed determination and resilience to win 2-1 against Punjab in the Indian Super League 2024-25 match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Javier Siverio scored the goal that put the Men of Steel back on the field top six with 18 points in 10 games.
“The most important thing is that we got three points. Everyone worked very hard (to get this result),” Jamshedpur head coach Khalid Jamil said during the post-match press conference.

“Their presence of mind, they know how to deal with the situation during the match, defending and attacking, that is the most important thing,” he added.
Second-half substitute Nikhil Barla played a key role in Jamshedpur winning the game after he met Siverio with a perfect cross to the far post in the 84th minute, earning praise from his coach.
“Nikhil (Barla) is a very good player. He has patience and when he got the chance, he took advantage of it. He got this chance; it’s very important to him,” Jamil commented on Barla’s performance.
