Kylian Mbappe will miss one Spanish league match due to a leg injury, but Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti hopes his forward will recover in time to play in the Intercontinental Cup final next week.
Ancelotti said on Friday that the left thigh injury Mbappé suffered this week would rule him out of Saturday’s La Liga match at Rayo Vallecano.
However, the Italian coach said that Mbappé would travel with the rest of his teammates Rhinitis for the Intercontinental Cup final on December 18, when Madrid will face either Pachuca or Al Ahly.
“We will see if he can play without the risk (of injury),” Ancelotti told reporters. “He will travel as we believe he will be able to recover from his injury.”
