Joel Embiid hit in face in first half, Pacers go on to beat 76ers

76ers: Philadelphia’s injury-plagued season continues and concerns are growing about Embiid, who has a history of facial injuries.

Haliburton set the tone for the Pacers, hitting four three-pointers in the first quarter to give the Pacers a 29-22 lead. Haliburton hit seven 3-pointers.

Only once this season has Philadelphia played more than 30 minutes together with Embiid, Maxey and George in the lineup — Sunday’s win over Chicago.

Indiana hosts New Orleans on Sunday. Philadelphia plays Charlotte on Monday.
